Abstract

Pakistan, a country founded on Islamic principles, was established with the objective of creating an Islamic society. However, since its independence, the country has undergone significant cultural changes, largely influenced by Western culture. The British colonial rule, which lasted of nearly 89 years, had a profound impact on Pakistani society. After the British departed, their legacy continued to influence various aspects of Pakistani life, and society. One of the primary reasons for this struggle is the blind imitation of Western culture. This articles aims to explore the impact of Western culture on Pakistani society. It will examine the factors contributing to the adoption of Western culture and its effects on Pakistani identity. In today's globalized world, technology has bridged geographical divides, allowing cultures to intersect and influence one another. Pakistan, like many other countries, is grappling with the challenges of cultural globalization. While it is essential to engage with the world and adopt beneficial ideas, it is equally important to preserve one's cultural identity and values. However, the increasing influence of Western culture is threatening this vision. It is essential for Pakistanis to be aware of the impact of Western culture on their society and to take steps to preserve their Islamic heritage and cultural identity. The article will provide an in-depth analysis of the impact of Western culture on Pakistani society, highlighting the need for Pakistanis to preserve their cultural identity and values in the face of cultural globalization.
