Al-Hikam, Prophethood, Bani Israel. GospelAbstract
In the Holy Qur'an and especially in Surat Al-Baqarah, Bani Israel has been mentioned a lot. It is clear that Bani Israel was entrusted with the responsibility of Imamate in Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah says: O Bani Israel, remember My favor which I bestowed on you and I gave you superiority over all the worlds."But those people could not be worse than their rightful position because of this responsibility. It is clearly stated in Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran that now as the last Ummah, the Muslim Ummah has been entrusted with this responsibility, so the faults of the previous Ummah and their end as well. It has been clearly stated so that the Muslim Ummah can avoid this pit of degradation. In Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah Almighty said: "Ask the children of Israel how many clear proofs We gave them, and whoever changes the favor of Allah after it has come to him, then Allah is severe in punishment."Bani Israel was given the position of Imamat-e-Alam before the Muslim Ummah, and after Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the chain of prophethood was going on in his family. They became envious. It is mentioned in the revelation that the Jews were waiting for the last prophet in Arabia for a period of time. They thought that the prophet would come from the Bani Israel just like the prophets before him, but when Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) came from the Bani Ismail. When he was sent, he rejected him because of jealousy. However, it is clear in the Holy Quran that the clear signs of him were present in the Torah and the Gospel.Downloads
