Abstract

Foreign Trade is actually a source of getting benefits after selling and buying something that otherwise may not have been available domestically. Islamic Economic system encourages the free Trade. Arabs were traders before Islam. The Prophet ﷺ himself was a trader and grown up in the family of Traders. Before Islam He used to go with his uncle for trading. Heﷺ himself introduced many basic rules and regulation and practiced these rules in Madina. The Prophet’s own personal experiences with trade and the many Verses in the Quran dealing with foreign trade give explicit guidelines for such economic activates. Prophet ﷺ says, “We were forbidden that a town Dweller should sell goods of a desert dweller. This research work has mainly been conducted through primary and secondary sources including Holy Quran, Ahadith Nabvi, Fiqh, Seerah and books written by religious scholars. Current study has tried to bring out the glimpses of trade during Prophetic era. The basic objective of the study is to analyze the Prophetic strategies of trade with the foreign countries in order to highlight those procedures and methodologies with the current trading system.
