Study of scientific perspectives on the difficulties of the Quran in the story of Dhul-Qarnain, in light of the thoughts of Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khaliq al-Bajuri

Abstract

The second source of Islamic law is Hadith. Hadith is the interpretation and explanation of the Quran. This is why the noble companions, their followers, and their followers' followers not only acted upon the teachings of the Prophet but also preserved them in written form. Similarly, in the service of Hadith, Muhammad bin Ismail al-Bukhari emerged as a prominent figure. He compiled the authenticated book of Hadith known as "Sahih al-Bukhari." Considering the importance of this book, numerous commentaries were written on it. Among them is the commentary "Ghunyat al-Qari Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari" by Maulana Abdul Khaliq al-Bajuri from Pakistan and India. In this commentary, the author has mentioned the story of Dhul-Qarnain and has also explained the scientific aspects of the difficulties faced in understanding the Quran about the said story.
